How have humans “progressed” (and I use this term loosely) to a point where it’s acceptable to say things like “she deserves to get knocked down” or “someone should just shoot him”? This goes beyond the sense of entitlement and into fundamentally flawed morality.
Every human life has value.
I’m not sure if it is because we live in an environment protected from many vicissitudes of the world or a flaw in the human condition such that we tend to perceive things lighter and more cavalierly than we probably should. We need to remember that while words have a profound ability to inspire, they have the ability to tear down society. I truly want to believe that they can change, and as a species we can evolve out of this dark phase.
You claim terrorism is the enemy.
You claim trump is the problem.
You claim nuclear developments will bring destruction.
You even claim the dependance on energy as one of our biggest flaws.
I say those are just parts of a bigger issue.
We are real threat.
Hiding behind the anonymity of the internet.
The reluctance to accept change because it challenges our inherent beliefs.
Blinded by the fear of the future.
Time is flowing, the world is changing, the animals are evolving, but humanity is regressing.
