The production of the sequel to the unexpected box office hit Deadpool just took a hit. Reportedly, Tim Miller, director of the first Deadpool released early this year, will be leaving the project. Rumour has it that Miller direction for this highly anticipated sequel differed from star of the film Ryan Reynold which prompted his departure.
Deadpool is one of those movies that requires specific type of people to make. The character’s uncanny ability to capture the hearts (and laughs) of the audiences is a characteristic that all subsequent films need to maintain. The departure of Miller is undoubtedly a setback and it would surely take some time before they can find someone else to fill this vacancy. That said, with Reynolds being heavily involved in the project, it is safe to say that the foul mouthed merc is in good hands.
With Cable hinted to be joining the Deadpool in this sequel coupled with the numerous rumours, this sequel will definitely be one of the most exciting movies in Fox’s repertoire.
