[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Known for his role as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti in the CW hit show iZombie, Rahul Kohli has reportedly been cast as Jack Spheer AKA Biomax for this current season of Supergirl.
Set to guest star in Episode 18, Kohli’s character is described as a tech genius whose latest medical innovation, if successful, has the capability to eradicate many major illnesses. Jack Spheer finds his way to National City to gain exposure for his invention through the press, namely Cat Co Magazine, which is where he comes into contact with Snapper Carr (Ian Gomez) and Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist). It has also been revealed that Spheer used to be in a relationship with Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) and he apparently still has feelings for her, which forces him to confront these feelings.
While it is unclear if Spheer will take on the moniker Biomax, as he is known in the comics, there is little doubt that he will given that he is only scheduled for one appearance. Jack Spheer was the CEO of Biospheer Technologies, known for their development of the Biomax Process – a plasma that could control organic tissue. He intended to use the process to redefine the way food was produced by improving the quality and the crop harvesting period. Unfortunately, the additives caused some people to fall sick but that wasn’t enough for Spheer to pull the products off the market which prompted the intervention of Green Arrow and Black Canary. It’s odd that a character tied to both Oliver Queen and Dinah Lance would make an appearance in Supergirl instead of Arrow. But then again, Arrow has a lot on its plate at the moment and one more villain would probably do more harm than good.
