[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Season 5 of Arrow has been lauded by the most fans of the show as a return to form. With the announcement that Katie Cassidy will be returning in the final 2 episodes of the season and rejoining the cast as a series regular in the next season, it has been confirmed by series executive producer Marc Guggenheim that Manu Bennett will also be reprising his role as Slade Wilson AKA Deathstroke in the finale of this season as well. The news was further confirmed by Arrow star Stephen Amell and Manu Bennett on twitter.
[su_quote cite=”Wendy Mericle, Arrow Executive Producer”]The alliances are going to be very surprising. You’re not going to believe who Oliver is working with to defeat Prometheus. It’s going to be really emotional. It’s going to be all about Oliver’s family, but not the family we’re thinking of right now. It’s going to end in a giant explosion, but not where we think it’s going to end, and the emotional punch is going to be bigger than the actual physical part of the bombs going off.[/su_quote]
Given the things Bennett has said about the show and his lackluster guess appearance in Season 3, Deathstroke’s return is undoubtedly a surprise. The Prometheus threat is weighing heavily on Oliver Queen and his team which forces him to go to extremes – seeking help from Deathstroke.
Deathstroke has been a fan favorite character since his debut as a recurring character in the first season of Arrow. Becoming the main threat in season 2 only made fans love the character even more – a high point in the series that it has since never managed to top or even come close to doing so. The seriousness of his threat against Oliver as well as the stunning portrayal by Bennett only made the character the most menacing villain of the series.
Arrow is currently on break and will return on April 28, 2017.[/vc_column_text][vc_facebook][/vc_column][/vc_row]
