Comicbook.com gets an exclusive with DC Comics giving us a preview of the upcoming Deathstroke #35 with will conclude the Deathstroke vs. Batman story arc.
Deathstroke (Vol 4) has been lauded by fans and critics as one of the best titles under the new DC brand DC Rebirth. Managed by writer Christopher Priest and art director Carlo Pagulayan, Deathstroke (Vol 4) expands the backstory of mercenary turn assassin Slade Wilson.
Deathstroke vs. Batman launched in April and centers around the revelation that current Robin, Damian Wayne, is actually Deathstroke’s son and not Batman’s. Deathstroke and Batman has had a rather intense relationship, and this news once again pit these powerful men against one another as the search for the truth. As the story is concluding with the two being forced to set aside their hatred for each other and work to defeat the bad guys. With a team consisting of Priest, Pagulayan, Jason Paz, Andy Owens Jeremy Cos and Willie Schubert, the epic crossover has been met with positive reviews from fans and critics.

Seeing Batman go head to head with Deathstroke has been a fan favorite battle for quite awhile now. We have seen them confront in the Batman games Arkham Origins and later in Arkham Knight. It was previously rumored that Deathstroke would be the main antagonist in the upcoming Matt Reeves directed The Batman, which will be Batman’s first solo movie in the DCEU. However, it has since been shut down with Penguin being rumored to be the villain. Deathstroke, who will be played by Joe Managiello, is reported to be the villain in Suicide Squad 2.
Deathstroke #35 will be available for purchase in stores and downloadable online on September 5.
